We built Gilkut out of frustration. Whenever we needed a simple tool to format a block of JSON, count words in an essay, or generate custom text, we found the web littered with bloated websites. They were slow to load, required unnecessary server uploads, and compromised user data privacy.

We decided there had to be a better way. Gilkut was founded on the principle that everyday utility tools should be instant, secure, and completely free.
